Back to basics

We are multidimensional beings (body, mind, and spirit) hence, to achieve our highest potential, we must experience life holistically. We have heard this latter word so many times yet for most of us its meaning remains unclear. Holistic essentially deals with not only the physical body, but also the mind, emotions, and spirit as a whole. When you get to experience life this way, our perspectives expand exponentially. We can also achieve the sought-after balance that leads our mind to feel completely at peace and calm, consequently our body begins to heal.

The essence that leads us to the discovery of our real self begins and ends with the most basic yet most important word that most of us take for granted. Though it is also a very commonly used word, rarely do we put it into practice. The whirlpool of everyday modern life has left no room for silence, and it is only here where we can find it because it is here where we really see and listen. Away from the noise our heart’s eyes begin to open up…Gratitude is our word. It became a passive positive theory when in truth it is an active transforming verb. It is not until we realize its inherent power that mind, body and spirit regain their balance. Only in gratitude do we find joy, however, it is only with full conscious self-awareness that we can begin to appreciate it all.
